Who says that you can’t read a book if you don’t have an iPad? No matter which type of computer you own, if it is a Mac or not, if you have a laptop or a desktop, the thing that matters is that if you are in love with books you can read them. And because our today topic is about how you can read books on a Mac computer, I will give you some examples of some programs that will allow you to do this.
So, as I have already told you, it doesn’t matter that you have a Mac computer, because even for the Mac OS there are programs which allow you to read books. I know that it may be a little bit difficult to stare at a monitor and read some online pages than to do just lie on bed and have an iPad in your hands, but it is not impossible.
Therefore, on the internet I have found a very nice site that gives you some examples of programs that will let you read books on your Mac computer. You can choose one of these and you can install it either on your laptop or your Mac desktop, by choice and of course by use.

The first program that is recommended by the site is the Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2. Made by Adobe, this great program is also a freeware, allowing the users to have it for free. So no pay there, folks! You can read and also manage different digital publications and e-Books and what is really great about it is that it can also be used with Adobe PDF and XHTML content. So, it has many features for a free program. It also occupies only 2, 54 MB on your hard drive and it takes less than 2 minutes to have it installed. This may sound like a small miracle, but it is just a normal program from Adobe, that will allow you do read easier your books.

Another program that I consider important to be presented is the GhostReader 1.6.5. This is not a free program, being $40. But for those who need to check it up, they can download the demo version and upgrading it to the fullest by buying the license. It is very good because it actually reads the content in a specified language so you can just sit back and relax. It is just like someone would tell you a story. You can also covert the documents into audio books and listen them on iPad, IPhone or any other Apple device.
So, what do you think? For more programs, check the link.
