Apple Macbook Pro Reset Time/date

If you own a MacBook Pro laptop, it may come a time when you need to reset the date and the time and this is because some error occurred, or maybe they were not set correctly from the beginning. Due to the fact that Macs are used a lot for their portability, using computer’s clock is as important as using the computer itself sometimes, so you have to be able to make these adjustments.

The operation of setting up the time and date again is not a very hard one and I will explain it to you in the next few lines, so you should only pay attention and the rest is just going to be done.

The first step that you have to make is to click on the Apple menu and then select the Control Panel. When you entered it, you will have to choose the Date and time option and then enter it too. Here are going to be made all the modifications.

After you have done this, you will have to select the month, the day and the year that you would like to change. You can do this by using the up and down arrows from your keyboard or you can directly type the numbers in the proper box.

The same thing you will have to do when you want to set the hour. Highlight the hour and the minute and also choose the time zone by clicking on it and opening the list with all the time zones in the world. Choose yours by putting the mouse arrow over it. This is it, now you have set the time and the place of your computer.

If you do not want to set the time in the way I have presented you above, you also have the option to use the “Set time now” function, which will allow you to set the clock automatically from the internet.

So, as you can see it is not that hard to manually make the adjustments. And it is also really important to have them made, even if you do not use the computer’s clock too often and this is because you may need your Mac to make some updates and if your date is not the real one, the whole process can be messed up. Not to mention about other functions or trial versions of different programs from the computer that can get disturbed.

Therefore, take care all the time to have the correct date and time and in this way you will be safe from other problems.
